Mohanman Shaktiman (MMSM), since the inception in 1950 by the founding fathers – Mohanman Shrestha and Shaktiman Shrestha has been instrumental in trading of key and critical elements for various large construction projects of Nepal. The construction of Tribhuvan Highway in 1953, connecting Kathmandu to India via Terai, aroused a need for various construction materials. MMSM responded to this need through sourcing necessary materials such as cement, explosives, steel from its networks in India. Since then, MMSM has been involved in the supply of these commodities to various major construction projects in the field of Hydropower, Roads, Irrigation and Water Supply.

Mohanman Shaktiman in 21st century now focuses mainly on a very challenging sector which has seen tremendous activity in the last decade – Underground Excavation & Construction. The need for solution to this previously unchartered territory of construction required various solutions. MMSM now specializes in providing various sectors of underground construction such as tunnels for hydropower, roads or irrigation. Through its wide network and partnerships with leading manufacturers of these solutions, MMSM stands committed to providing best quality products & services whether it is explosives and chemicals or more modern tunnel boring machines (TBM) and services in geotechnical consulting and blasting.
